Camping in Trona Pinnacles.
The patrols have been split up as follows for this trip:

Braiden K (PL)
Dominic
Patrol 2:
Crusaders
Lightning
Phonexies
You guys have the choice of cooking in or out of patrols, but you will not be able to use a patrol box and are confied to backpacking cooking essentially. Dutch ovens and over the fire cooking is good. Also, either sleep outside or build a shelter, not a tent. You will also need to bring the tarp to build the shelter out of.

Just wanted to email you all and let you know what is going on this weekend.
Of course, we are going to the Trona Pinnacles. You can look it up Google Maps. We are going out to the desert for this camp out. Just a little heads up on what it is going to all be about.
We are going to need to meet at the Scouthouse at 4:30PM NO LATER. We have a long way to go to get there. It is about a 3.5 hour drive to get there including a rough road for the last few miles. We will be stopping to have food along the way so make sure you bring some money for that stop!
As a reminder, this is Wilderness Survival. This means we are going light. You will need to get with your patrols and figure out food, but it has to be things that do not require refridgeration! You will need to cook out of your backpack either on a backpacking stove, open fire or a dutch oven! We are NOT TAKING PATROL BOXES ON THIS TRIP!
Additionally, NO TENTS! You will be able to bring a tarp and some poles, rope and stakes and make a tent that way if you like, but we are not taking tents on this one, build a shelter or sleep on the ground!
We will have some time to try and make fires in three different ways. We will also go over the five ways to signal in the wilderness. I think we are also going to go over and watch the motorcycle race which Jackson Waters will be racing in, should be a lot of fun.
We will also stop at the World Famous, Charlie Brown's on the way home for a Shake, they have the best shakes there. Remember NO FOOD!
You all will need to get together on Thursday night or before and figure out the food for your patrols. Lincoln should have already let you all know how the patrols are going to go. You will have some time work it out on Thursday if not before.
