Fun Fishing Campout
at Lake Cachuma: sign up now because we have a limit of 32 total scouts & adults!

We will be going to Lake Cachuma the weekend of Friday, April  26 to Sunday, April 28 to practice fishing skills we learned this month in meetings.

We have 4 campsites reserved (#589, 590, 591 & 591) at the lake and each has a limit of 8 people so we are limited to 32 scouts and adults for this trip.  Fortunately these sites are relatively near a fishing pier and the lake.  We were not able to get a group campsite for any weekend this month at any nearby lake.  Scouts will be cooking and camping in patrols so they will need to plan menus and plan for food buying, prep and cooking appropriately.

This will be a fun car camping trip to practice fishing and some of the information the scouts learned in meetings this month.  This is also a great opportunity for a scout to get the cooking requirements for First or Second Class ranks completed (note that both of these require preparation and planning ahead of the trip and must be coordinated with your Patrol Leader - so talk to your PL soon!).  Additionally, a variety of other rank advancement requirements could be completed at this camp - IF YOU ARE PREPARED AND READY TO DO THEM!
