As many now know, the scouts are working on a fundraiser for Mother's Day Weekend. The idea is to host a nice evening where they can take their mothers out for a lovely meal and a fun night. The flyer for the event has been attached. Some of the scouts have already picked up their flyers to sell, but others still need to pick theirs up. This event is intended to have a "prom" type atmosphere, or at least be a nice, formal gathering. The meal options will include eggplant parmesan or chicken marsala, and there will be a band for some dancing after the meal.
There may be questions about the availability of wine or similar spirits, and yes, there will be, but since this is a scouting event, alcohol is NOT included in the price.
The cost of the event is $50 per person or $100 per couple. The boys have agreed to each sell two tickets oer couples. This promises to be an enjoyable event. Additionally, the boys will be involved in helping out during the event. Some will serve as servers, while others will be tasked with washing dishes and assisting with event decorations.
